TAKE NOTE: Service Alert
To Our Valued Customers:
Cleanup efforts following this weekend’s winter storm continue across much of central and northern Connecticut, including the Hartford, New Britain, Waterbury, and Meriden service areas.
CTtransit is working closely with our municipal partners to clear snow and ice from bus stops and sidewalks as quickly as possible. However, with sub-freezing temperatures expected this week, the process may take longer than usual.
Your safety is our priority.
- Please use caution when walking to and from bus stops and while boarding and exiting the bus.
- Stand back from the curb and avoid standing on snow or ice banks, as they may be slippery.
- When your bus approaches, wave to signal the operator. Operators will make every effort to stop where there is a natural break in any ice or snow.
- At CTfastrak stations, transit hubs, and rail stations, use extra caution on ramps and stairs. Stand back from the platform edge until your bus or train comes to a complete stop and the doors open.
- For your safety, be visible. Wear reflective or light-colored clothing, especially in low-light conditions, to help bus operators see you. This added visibility helps prevent pass-bys and ensures a safer experience for everyone.
- Lastly, dress warmly and in layers. While buses are operating on regular schedules, many routes are running at slower speeds due to road conditions, which may result in scattered service delays.
Thank you for choosing CTtransit. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you to your destination safely.
