Proposed Bus Service Changes
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct two (2) in-person open houses for the proposed CTtransit bus service changes on March 18 and 19, 2025. The bipartisan budget adopted earlier last year included a funding increase for CTtransit bus service in Connecticut. Changes are proposed for the CTtransit New Haven and Hartford division local systems, Hartford Express, and CTfastrak.

In the event of cancellation due to inclement weather, New Haven’s meeting would be moved to March 25, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. and Hartford’s meeting would be moved to March 26, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. Should this change occur, the public will be notified of this change on the project webpage. 

Proposed CTtransit Service Changes 
Bus service changes range from introduction of new routes, expansion of service hours and service frequencies, modifications of routes, and discontinuations of some routes/services for an overall more streamlined and customer-focused system. Changes are proposed for the CTtransit New Haven and Hartford division local systems, Hartford Express, and CTfastrak.

How to Participate 
The meeting facilities are ADA-accessible and are served by transit. 
Language assistance may be requested by contacting the CTDOT Language Assistance Call Line at (860) 594-2109. Requests should be made at least 5 business days prior to the meeting. Language assistance is provided at no cost, and efforts will be made to respond to timely requests for assistance.
